Fragonard Parfumerie

This post has nothing to do with the sailing charter but today my friend and I went to Grasse, the "perfume capital of the world" and visited the famous Fragonard Perfume Factory. Getting there was somewhat of a mission but it was so worth it.

We were on a tour of the factory and museum, learning the history and about how the perfumes are made and then we were smelling them and then I don't know what happened, I think the "alcohol notes" must have been too much for me cos I clearly passed out and when I came to I was reeking of perfume and I had a whole bag filled with bottles and bottles of the stuff, I don't know how they got there but it's okay, I've come to terms with it now. For me, I was 100 percent sold when I just saw how incredible the packaging was, there was no stopping me. Every time I took a new bottle off the shelf I just kept reminding myself of  all the hard times the little gremlins gave me on the boat and somehow I managed to convince myself that I TOTALLY deserved it, and MORE so we treated ourselves to a lovely lunch under a shady tree and admired all our new treasures...
