So, yesterday I was unemployed aaaaand TODAY... I'm totally employed again. Oleh. Yay for employment. The boat has been sold to the previous owner who had it for 15 years, they arrive tomorrow night and we're leaving first thing on Wednesday moring... for a six week cruise around the Med. Apparently they don't like to go in to port that much and prefer to be out in the middle of nowhere, so we're going to see some beautiful, isolated places and be out at anchor a LOT. Buuut because I'm the chef, I get to drive the tender into the ports to do the shopping (and sneak a quick peak around the old towns) I LOVE my job. Eeeek. I'm so excited, the itenerary is incredible and there are only two guests who are both in their 60s and really laid back. We did the big shop today, the one where I walk around with 4 shopping carts for 2 hours and spend R15 000, yeah that one, my head is still pounding from the stress of it all. The boat is pretty much ready to go, just a few more things to do.
AND... even more exciting news, I found out that I have "holiday pay" owed to me, and I got 600 Euros handed to me in cash (kind of weird to be getting "holiday pay" when you feel like you've been on holiday the whole time anyways, but I' NOT complaining)... maybe I'll sneak off to Cannes tomorrow moring before we leave and buy myself that Macbook Air to say well done for, fooooor, for being employed. Well done ME.
