Train trip from Imperia to Paris

There really are few things that could cheer someone up as much as, well, one of these

Yeah, that’s who you think it is, and YES, he’s wearing that cute little hat and hell yes he’s filled with chocolate ice cream. PINGU, you sneaky little treat.
I got off at the train station in Ventimiglia from Imperia on my way to Nice (final destination Paris) after somewhat of an ominous start, I was the only person in the entire coach, it smelt like butt and the lights kept switching on and off, I was feeling a little MEH, you know how it goes when you set off on a new adventure, you’re nervous and a little sad about leaving but excited and happy about going, it’s a strange feeling but one I’m getting used to. I suppose that’s the thing about travelling and I hate to say it but I think that feeling, the nervous/excited/unsure feeling is slightly addictive. So, back to Pingu, I got off at my stop in Nice and THERE he was, the only penguin in the entire freezer, looking so cute and lonely and I had to buy him and now he's with me in Paris, the lucky treat, he'll be joining me in Amsterdam and if he behaves, he may even make it as far as SOUTH AFRIA, the intrepid little explorer.
The train journey, was, well... HELL. Boiling hot, smelly, scary, cramped etc etc, let me not even go there, the main thing is, I got off 12 hours later in PARIS and that's all that counts... eee
