today, I got fan mail. Yes, you read that right, make no mistake... FAN mail, from a fan, saying: Dear Cary, your blog is awesome, I read it every single day, don't ever stop writing, you inspire me and make me laugh so much, you're so talented and pretty and funny and clever and witty and charming and AWESOME... fine, I made the last few superlatives up, fluffed it up a little, but it was something along those lines. Now, if you're reading this, and you're a fan, like the fan I just told you about, who is, I am sure, just one amongst many MANY fans, then send me some MORE fan mail, more more moooooooooore. I like it.

Oh, and on a slightly LESS awesome note... I'm leaving the Philippines in a few hours and I am in a DEEP state of depression about it. I'm in denial, actually. I'm currently sitting at a hostel in Manila, with a mountain of mangoes in front of me, consoling myself with these delicious tasty treats, hoping to induce some kind of a mango sugar coma so as to miss my flight and thus be left NO option but to stay here forever and ever and always amen.
