It's days like today that I love this job. I was wondering around the beautiful town square in the sunshine this morning, there was an old man playing the accordion, there was the smell of fresh bread, a lively fresh goods market was going on, I bought some incredible prawns that I saw coming off the boat earlier on, I made friends with one of the farmers who sold me the most incredible organic fruit and vegetables, he gave me a bag of cherries, on the house, the first ones of the season and they were delicious. I took my time and shopped around to get the absolute best of everything, the best focaccia, the most expensive Parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar and olive oil, I went all out and spent ridiculous amounts of money, which is fine, because it's not my money and the boat owner is a gazillionaire so I have no limit. I bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a new tea pot for afternoon tea and some pretty silver cake forks. The deckhand came to fetch me in the tender and I drove the boat back, I grilled the prawns with some garlic and butter, made a cracking salad with all my fresh stuff from the market, I sat out on the deck listening to music, the guests went out for dinner so I had time for an afternoon sleep and to make a beautiful dark chocolate and raspberry cake for their wedding anniversary tomorrow, I could get used to it being like this. Oh, and they leave on the 16th (for over TWO weeks, yes pleeeSe). Kaaaaaay bye
