I'm having trouble sleeping these days. I think it's because I'm too excited, I have so much happening in the next couple of weeks and months and my mind is in complete overdrive. It's okay though, because I get stuff DONE. Like now, it's 2:27am and AM I bothered? No, because I just found out about the Gikomba market in Nairobi where they sell masses of second hand clothing (mitumba). Bargain Betty over here can hardly believe it all to be true but you can find top brands from around the world for super cheap, anything you could possibly want, they've got it (or so I hear). I'll be in absolute heaven, I love a good bargain I do. Going STRAIGHT there from the airport, no time to waste, I'm sure I'll be there for hours and a new suitcase to carry all the STUFF will be on my list of things to get. And, I don't even have to worry about my bags being too heavy getting home to South Africa because I'm going by truck, oleh! Mitumba. I even like that WORD. I'm pretty sure I remember my ex boyfriend from Tanzania saying something about mitumba but clearly he didn't make as big a deal of it as it totally IS or I would have gone to East Africa WAY before now. I wonder what stuff there is, I wonder what treasures await. Eeek. Oh yes, Nairobi National Park and all the nice animals and stuff. that too, but MITUMBA, you guys!!!
