Paris is a SERIOUSLY romantic city. Don't believe me? Take a walk along the Pont des Arts over the Seine, by the Louvre, and see the rails covered from top to bottom in "love padlocks".
The idea with this is that couples write their names on the locks, padlock it to the rail and throw the key into the Seine, it's meant to represent eternal love bla bla, I'm sure you get the idea, and, although slightly nauseating (not even slightly, hugely nauseating, and a little cheesy) it does seems like a pretty sweet thing to do, especially while someone's playing softly on the sax, and the sun is setting over Paris.
