that feeling I seem to get (or give myself) every couple of weeks when EVERYTHING is about to completely change again, when I have no idea what lies ahead or where I'll be. I think it could be addictive, because I keep doing it. I've just said goodbye to Kirsten, I've come back into the dorm and had a mild panic attack, and felt a bit sad because I miss her already. What I do know, for certain, is that in the next 48 hours, I will:
1. Do all my laundry
2. Sort out my backpack (it weighs FAR too much)
3. Check out
4. Print my tickets
5. Do a HEAP of admin bank stuff
6. Get a Thai Massage (and buy some thinnngs from the market)
7. Find a box, fill it with all the unnecessary stuff I've been carrying around, find a post office and send it back to France
8. Tuk-tuk to the train station
9. Train to the airport
10. Check in, fly to Singapore
11. Arrive in Singapore at 1am
12. Hang around the airport for 16 hours (secretly happy about this)
13. Fly to Manila, arrive at 9.30pm
14. Find somewhere to stay in Manila
15. Find a way to Palawan aaaand somewhere to stay
16. Jump into the water and stare at beautiful things. Forever. And always. The end.
Yeah, that's it.
I'm excited, but a bit overwhelmed too. After a month of travelling with someone else I all of a sudden feel like I can't do it on my own again, muchos sillios, because I can, I totally can, of course I can, howww ridiculous. And plus, Singapore airport is apparently one of the best in the world, a holiday destionation on its own, IIII'M excited, 16 hours? Bring it on. And now that I've been paid by the ski resort from hell, I can probably buy myself summin naaaz, Kindle Fire mebeh? I've become a SERIOUS little bookworm, I have not one, not two, buy SEVEN books in my bag. 1 I'm busy reading, 2 of them still need to be read, 2 of them have already been read (and are about to be swapped at the hostel book exchange), 1 is a lonely planet guide on Nepal (can be chucked, not going there, just yet) and 1 is the Philippines Lonely Planet, aaand 1 is about to make its way into my bag because I found it and it looks fun, oops, that's 8. You see, I NEED a Kindle Fire, I can't be carring EIGHT books around, that's BEYOND ridiculous and extremely geeky. Must not be geeky, must be cool, MUST have Kindle Fire.
