It's not EVEN spooky, it's REALLY pretty. I hear there's some freaky-freaky going on in San Antonio, shamans and enchanted balete trees and the like but not REALLY. And it's called the "Island of Fire" cos of the fireflies, there are SO many. We found a nifty little place right on the beach for only P300, incredible sunsets, a beautiful coral reef just metres away and ice cold San Miguels. Got a boat straight from Alona beach to Siquijor with stops along the way to snorkel. Saw a MASSIVE turtle and lots of pretty things. It doesn't take much to impress me, I saw an enormous blue starfish and almost drowned with excitement. Think I'm going to give the diving thing a bash, I keep saying I can't afford it, but really, I'm scared, I have nightmares about being WAY down under and my mask filling with water and not being able to see anything and then panicking and not being able to breath, quite silly I KNOW.
We have a big day planned for tomorrow, waking up early, renting a motorbike and going all around the island, we're hoping to stay in this awesome little treehouse place, there are waterfalls and natural springs and coves and fish and all sorts of cool things to see
I love the Philippines
