Turtlesfontein

Just kidding, it's not REALLY called that, it's called Apo Island but there are SO many turtles. It's turtle city. Turtles in the water, turtles on the beach, turtles in the bar, knocking back tanduay, no not really but there are LOADS, you just walk out your room and into the water and smash into a turtle, it's the best, and the coral is the prettiest I've ever seen and it's all around the island, lots of interesting fish and sea snakes. It's a very LOVELY place and there are lovely people here too. I've made friends with one of the dive instructors, and dive instructors are kind of like snow boarding instructors.... VERY cool, strutting around in their wetsuits, crusing around the dive shop, exuding coolness, making me cool just by association, you know how I love to be cool. We went snorkelling together today and I've ALMOST been convinced to do my open water, 'tis rather expensive though, and the diving nightmares are still a very real thing. We were only going to stay one night, but the trip here was quite treacherous so we had to stay two, and it's really cheap so maybe we'll stay three, and I'm not sure when the next boat out of here is, so maybe four, still haven't given the karaoke joint in the fishing village a go, sooo maybe five... you know how it goes.

I should go, the whole island goes PITCH black at 9.30pm and I do belive there are some stars to see.
