Okay, the deckhand (yes, him again) is so flipping funny and he doesn't even mean to be. Shows me his hand at dinner: "I donno what is, this red things, maybe iz spider or a little beast", he said that, yes that last bit, with a dead straight face and didn't understand why I spent the next 10 minutes laughing like a banshee. It's the way he said "little". Little beast, hahahahaha, how funny, I wish I had never told him that's not really something you say, just to see him say it again with a straight face.
