The Crew House

Some call it "The Screw House" and after Wednesday night, I think I know why. I sleep on the top bunk and let's just say my bed was rrrrocking at about 4 in the morning, uh, AWKWARD, Europeans are so weird (so SO weird).

My first impression of the place wasn't all that good but I've grown to love it, despite the smelly bathrooms, the crowded bedrooms and the communal showers, it feels like home already. Most of the people here are South African, the rest are rowdy Australians, Scottish lads, the odd sneaky Slovakian and some sexy blonde Swedish boys... bit of a mixed bag really. Playing kings with the European bunch is absolutely hilarious, they have cards with "N's and D's and R's" and completely different rules and after a few bottles of Desperados (tequila flavoured beer) things get a little confusing.

All the bars and clubs are literally 100m down the road but drinks cost about R80 each, thank God for my 1 Euro bottles of Rose. When people aren't dockwalking, they're drinking... like PIRATES. It's impossible to go to bed before about 2 in the morning, it's basically like sleeping in the middle of a club. It's all really social and fun, having such a good time.
