Back in Antibes

So I'm back in Antibes after my little adventure in Palma, what a nightmare. I arrived back in Nice and saw one of my friends sitting outside the airport waiting for the bus back to Antibes, she was meant to be in Turkey. A similar thing had just happened to her and, like me, she was homeless, jobless and moneyless... we were "in the same boat", so to speak. Haha, see what I did there? The same boat? Get it? What a joker. Anyways. We were in the same boat, well, the same bus, absolutely NO boats were involved, not even one. She was just the person I needed to see, she gave me a big hug, smiled, and in her charming Aussie accent said "ah come on mate, you're alright. It's gonna be fine. You're absolutely fine. We both are." There was something so reassuring about the way she said that, it made me feel so much better. We headed back to the Crew House and were made to feel completely welcome, we joined in on the braai that was going, free of charge, had a few glasses of their famous punch, they put some mattresses out on the floor for us and we ended up having a really great night. There was a huge dock party going on so we joined in on that too. I turned that frown RIGHT upside down.

Saturday morning I headed to the phone shop, I'm becoming a bit of a regular there. The guy even knows my name now. "Oh no Cary, I see the messy hair, the make up still on, you lose your phone again? Need a new sim card?".. "Yes Christoph, need a new sim card, merci. I love you." haha, classic, he even gives me a bit of a discount now, I'm his best customer.

Martin and Virgine have given me back my cleaning job at the other crew house, so I am no longer homeless, which is great, as I was about to move into a caravan with three boys. Can you imagine. Option 1 was in the bed with 2 of them and option 2 was on the floor. Yes, on the floor, in a caravan. Neither of these options were hugely appealing.

Dockwalking... round 2, here we go. Job, I kindly suggest you just GET in my face, right now.
