Diani Beach

A few top tips:

1. If you go to Diani Beach (in Kenya) stay at Stilts Backpackers, because
a. you sleep in a tree house
b. you eat in a tree house
c. you can play with bush babies, in a tree house

What, that's not enough?
Okay, it's really cheap, the lentils and chapati dish is ermehgerd and only 250 Ksh, there's a bar called Forty Thieves across the road, and it's FUN, and the beach is quite naz, aaand... mangoes.
Diani is fun, but I'm heading further north today, to Kilifi, working my way up to Lamu.

And, another tip, you should do the trip to Wasini Island, because, even though it's a little tacky (the crew WILL sing Hakuna Matata, you'll probably be joined by a LOT of drunk Germans shouting "Jambo!" "Hakuna Matata" to every black person they see ... it gets annoying, very VERY annoying, but do it anyway because:

1. you go snorkelling (and if you're as lucky a fish as I am, you'll see turtles, stingrays, loads of pretty fish, and dolphins will swim RIGHT past your face)
2. you'll have a delicous seafood lunch with lobster, crab, fish, rice, coconut sea grass, chapati, fresh mango juice and fruit
3. you'll walk around the village and buy mysterious red berry seed fruit sugary sour sweet things from cute little kids and you will not be able to stop eating them

and you will do it ALL for €55.

Right, off to Kilifi
