Floating bars and sailing boats
You know how ice cream vans drive around playing a little song, well they did when I was little, but that was almost 26 years ago (gaaaah), well, i'm from South Africa so we just had a guy that cruised around on his bike and rang his little bell, same kind of thing. Well, the guests had gone ashore, so I was sitting outside... you know where this is going right? Yeah, an ice cream BOAT came cruising up to us, playing the song an urrrthing, they had a big red stripey umbrella and bright colours everywhere. I thought it a figment of my imagination... it WASN'T. I bought an ice cream (for Franco, I'm ALLERGIC to ice cream, the more times I say that the more I start actually believing it... I'm allleeeeeeergic). Anyways, I got an ice cream, even though we have an entire Italian gelato FACTORY onboard, just cos it was fun. And then I jumped off the boat (I work too hard, I know) and went for a swim to the beach with my mask and snorkel, and I actually saw some FISH, not quite like in the Phillipines, but still quite nice anyways, and then, right, I get back to the boat and I'm lying in the sun, and a boat BAR comes up to us. GET outta town. A colorful little floating bar, with their menu handpainted on the side. I bought a mojito, come on, I had to. When else will a bar come floating up to me while I sit on a luxury yacht in Sardinia? Yeah, NEVER. It was awesome. And, how's this... for my birthday, Franco's going to teach me how to sail, we have this cutesie little sailing boat onboard, I am SO excited. Guests are out for dinner, only two days left, things are looking up.
