Right, so a couple of days ago I ordered a dress online, had to keep it on the down-low incase I made a huge deal of it and then it didn't fit or something. So, it arrived today, a beautiful red dress. I ran back to the boat with it, tried it on, aaaaaand it didn't fit. Not because it was too small, but because it was too BIG. Instead if fitting like the sexy glove I hoped it would, it fit more like a boyfriends old rugby sock, not entirely the look I was going for. I was dancing around the place feeling very proud of myself as the dress dropped down to my waist. OLEH. And then I realised, Cary you eejit, stop that happy dance at ONCE, your dress doesn't fit you, which means you have no dress to wear to the wedding on Saturday, this is NOT a good thing. It was all very confusing, oscillating between elation and PANIC. Luckily for ME, I had a little visit with Zara today and bought the most beautiful black dress with lace on the front and back, so pretty and elegant. Now, I have a red dress that is far too big and a beautiful new black dress that's, well, it's still a black dress and not entirely appropriate for a wedding. Do I send the red one back and order a smaller size? Will it be here on time? Should I just wear the black dress and be "that GIRL who wore a BLACK dress to a wedding"? Oh boy. When did life get so hard?
